Creative Thinker Assignment- Plan

In this assignment you are asked to choose one key creative historical person to research. Discuss their contributions in relation to their traits, environment and processes. You may choose someone from any discipline area, but they should not be still alive – this allows you to discuss their complete life and creative contribution. Please structure your illustrated essay/discussion paper using these four sub-headings in the following suggested order:

Context – Environment and upbringing/personal history/introduction (300 words)
Concept – Ideas your chosen person had and why (creativity) (300 words)
Content – How they went about making their ideas a reality (processes) (300 words)
Constraints – How they overcame difficulties, and problem-solved (thinking) (300 words)

Conclusion- summary (200 words)

Assessable Criteria:

1. Ability to research from a range of sources, relevant information in a specific structure using both visual and verbal material – the paper/essay must be illustrated, with the illustrations referred to in the text.
2. Ability to write an abbreviated discussion paper/illustrated essay about an individual in relation to set content.
3. Ability to synthesise ideas and present them in a context.
